Accessibility statement

This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which includes every WCAG 2.0 Level AA criterion that the Revised Section 508 Standards incorporate.

How the site is built

  • Semantic HTML: landmarks for the header, main content and footer, and headings that do not skip levels.
  • A "Skip to content" link as the first focusable element on every page.
  • A visible focus outline on every link and control, for keyboard navigation.
  • Navigation that works without JavaScript and reflows on small screens instead of hiding behind a menu button.
  • Light and dark color schemes that follow your system setting, with text colors chosen for contrast in both.
  • Text alternatives for every image, and decorative icons hidden from screen readers.
  • Animation on the Wakey page is skipped when your system asks for reduced motion.

How it is tested

Every page is audited with the accessibility checks in Google Lighthouse 12, which run the axe-core rule set, in both light and dark mode. The results below are dated; they describe the site as it stood on that day.

Latest results

October 28, 2026: all 16 pages audited score 100 out of 100 for accessibility in both light and dark mode: home, Work, About, Government, Contact, Accessibility, Wakey, App Revenue Tracker, the privacy policy index, the six app privacy policies, and the not-found page.

Automated checks catch many barriers but not all of them. If something on this site is hard to use, please tell me.

Documents

The one-page capability statement PDF has the same content as the Government page, which is the accessible version.
